Florence Top Art Exhibits in 2025
FLORENCE, MUSEO NOVECENTO – Haley Mellin (24th June – 29th October 2025)
American artist Haley Mellin, founder of the environmentalist no-profit ‘Art into Acres’ shows her work in Florence. With the exhibit ‘Siamo Natura’ (we are nature) the artist celebrates the relationship between art and nature, and her paintings show her deep love and understanding of the natural world that she’ trying to protect.
The Museo Novecento also hosts some works by Thomas J. Price, whose large figurative sculpture of a golden young girl is exhibited in Florence’s historic square Piazza Signoria, until 14th September 2025.
FLORENCE, PALAZZO STROZZI – Tracey Emin (16th March – 20th July 2025)
Palazzo Strozzi hosts a major exhibition dedicated to Tracey Emin, the contemporary British artist famous for her constant experimentations and autobiographical themes. She works with various media- drawing, sculpture, video, installation, photography – with a strong focus on physicality, and relationship between bodies and existence.

FLORENCE BIENNALE – 18th to 26th October 2025
Biennale Contemporary Art and Design in the Fortezza da Basso – This year the Florence Biennale’s theme is “The Sublime Essence of Light and Darkness. Concepts of Dualism and Unity in Contemporary Art and Design”. American director Tim Burton will receive an Award to celebrate his career. The Biennale is on from 18th to 26th October 2025.

FLORENCE, PALAZZO STROZZI – Beato Angelico (26th September 2025 – 25th January 2026)
Beato Angelico, famous for his beautiful fresco ‘Annunciation’ in the San Marco Museum, is one of the founding fathers of Renaissance art in Florence. Spread across two venues—Palazzo Strozzi and the San Marco Museum —this exhibition will explore the production, development, and influence of Fra Angelico’s work in dialogue with some of his contemporaries, masters such as Masaccio, Filippo Lippi, Lorenzo Ghiberti and Luca della Robbia. FLORENCE, UFFIZI MUSEUM – ‘Florence and Europe, Art of the 18th Century’ (28th May-28th November 2025)
Celebrating the ‘Age of Enlightenment’ through art: 150 artworks, including masterpieces by Goya, Tiepolo, Canaletto, Liotard, and Mengs. On the ground floor of the Uffizi. “We tell the story of a complex century through its aesthetic culture and at the same time the transformation of the Uffizi Galleries into Europe’s first modern museum”, says director Simone Verde – See official site.

FLORENCE, VILLA BARDINI | ‘Caravaggio and the 20th century’ (until 20th July 2025)
The exhibition in the intimate setting of Villa Bardini explores the life and times of a famous Italian couple, intellectual Roberto Longhi and Anna Banti, who brought together artists and thinkers that shaped 20th century Italian culture. The most famous work on show are Caravaggio‘s painting ‘Boy Bitten by a Lizard‘, and Jusepe de Ribera’s Apostles.

FLORENCE, INNOCENTI MUSEUM – Toulouse Lautrec (27th September 2025 – 22nd February 2026)
A journey into Paris of the Belle Époque. Iconic painter, illustrator and graphic innovator, Lautrec captured the nightlife and bohemian spirit of late 19th century Montmartre, Paris.

FLORENCE, MEDICI RICCARDI PALACE – Carmen Parrocchetti (2nd October 2025 – 26th January 2026)
The handsome Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the first residence of the Medici family hosts an exhibit dedicated to Italian 20th century artist Clemen Parrocchetti, who explored the world of femininity and patriarchal culture (from 2nd October 2025 to 26th January 2026).
